Church History

For His Glory Christian Fellowship was founded on November 1, 1992 by Pastors Tom and Anitha Jones and nine other people who shared the vision God had given the Pastors.

The first service was held at the former Holiday Inn located at I-225 and Parker Road in Aurora, CO with 105 friends and family in attendance. Growth was rapid and in March 1993 the church was blessed to move to its own facility at 2832 South Havana, Unit Z in Aurora. 

While at this location the congregation more than tripled as the life changing Word of God being preached at For His Glory began to spread throughout the City.  The news spread rapidly that “The Uncompromised Word” was being preached at For His Glory and that people were being Set Free!!!  Pastors Tom and Anitha stood firmly on the Rhema Word God had given them to proclaim as the life changing series “There’s a False Climate In The Land” took the Denver Metro area by storm.  The chains of bondage were being broken, souls were being saved, spiritual healing and revival was taking place in the lives of God’s people and souls were added to the church.

As a result, the church outgrew this building and in March of 1994 moved to 10680 Del Mar Parkway in Aurora.  At this location more of the vision of FHG began to unfold as the initiation of ministries within the Church increased.   At this location the “Echoes From The Throne Room” radio broadcast began.  As the preached Word of God resonated over the air waves, the Spirit of God faithfully added to the church and For His Glory became known throughout the City as a powerful ministry of excellence where the Word of God is preached under the anointing.

In 1998 God again directed the path of For His Glory to another location in order to “Build For The Future”.   In its new location at Highline Community School located at 11000 East Exposition Avenue in Aurora, God strategically positioned FHG for growth and blessings. It is at this location that the miraculous plan of God unfolds as He prepared For His Glory for preparation and presentation of His divine favor.    

Under the dynamic leadership of Pastor and Visionary Tom Jones, the members of For His Glory walked in a level of faith that many had not known before.  God gave Pastor Tom the vision and the plan to acquire a 31,000 square foot building for the ministry.   Pastors Tom and Anitha taught the members how to exercise their faith by believing God for the miraculous.  By putting the Word of God into action, God prophetically catapulted For His Glory from spiritual levels to spiritual dimensions.
